Just a short, belated note of thanks to you and your team for making our trek so enjoyable.

We were very impressed with the way your team looked after us, not only on the trek but also post trek and right up to the moment we left Kathmandu your guys were assisting us in every way. That sort of back up was certainly not expected nor taken for granted and we thank you for that.

On the trek all arrangements were exceptionally well handled by our friends Bikram and Arjun who smilingly worked together as a team at all times and in no small way ensured our wellness on the trip. They consulted with us regarding itinerary on a daily basis, were very flexible to our suggestions and kept a watchful eye over us without being over attentive, in fact we cannot think of a single thing your guys could`ve done to improve the trip.

We will be returning to Nepal in Dec 2010 and will definitely be booking our next adventure with your company.

Hi Tilak!

Hope all is well in Kathmandu and beyond:  I have been promising to do this for a year and have not got round to it but please feel free to include this as a testimonial on your website:

My wife and I booked a trip from Jiri to Everest Base Camp November 6 - December 5 2008 through trailblazer.  We could not have been more impressed with the excellent service which we received, from our arrival at Kathmandu airport we were treated like visiting dignitaries and made to feel really special.  When the hard work began, our guide Bhim, proved to be knowledgable and friendly with a great sense of humour.  Our porter, Subarna (please excuse the speling if incorrect), was a tower strength, a sharp wit and consumate card player.  Without these two gentlemen, the trip would not have been possible and they both worked so hard, on the trek and during the evenings, to ensure we had the time of our lives.

If anybody reading this is remotely worried about altitude sickness or the effects of such a potentially arduous trek upon the body, I would suggest don't be!  Our guide was expert at pointing out weaknesses, checking on how we were feeling and helping us to take rests, or push on harder as we wished.  All we had to do was pass round the chocolate, take pictures and enjoy the scenery.  I would also heartily recommend taking the extra time off work and doing the longer trek from Jiri, not only is this a really good way of aclimatizing to the higher altitude and strengthening, but the countryside in so beautiful and much quieter than from Lukla and above, and the people are so friendly.

If you have time and energy after your trek, a good way to finish off, is the Royal Chitwan park, which can also be organised through trailblazer and is a fun way to see tigers, rhinos and a diverse range of birds in beautiful wetland countryside.

Back in the confines of my office looking over London on a cold Tuesday afternoon, I will aways remember the fun we had and the warm welcome we received on the roof of the world.

Myself and the rest of the group have been safely back in the UK for a while now. I would like to take this opportunity to say a couple of words about the guide you chose for us, Hari.
 
Thank you very much on an excellent choice. Hari was without doubt the best individual you could have picked for our group. His gregarious, outgoing and friendly character was an instant hit with us and we immediately warmed to his amiable manner. From the very start of the trek he worked tirelessly to make our lives easier. It would be fair to say that Hari's idea of providing a service far outdid our's. Our group were all military personnel so we are used to setting a good pace and having things done efficiently. In these respects we could not have asked for a better leader. He didn't once complain at our various requests, he stayed flexible, he was always thinking ahead and his local knowledge made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. During the trek we spoke to many other groups and we all, without doubt, agreed that he had given us the best experience.
 
Please pass on all of our thanks to him once again. Should I return to Nepal I can do him no greater credit than to say I would certainly ask to have him as my guide again.

I just wanted to thank you for one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. You and your staff did everything you said you would do and, in many cases, went above and beyond to make sure that we had a pleasant trip. Although you couldn't have possibly planned the chemistry between myself and the other members of the group, I will give you credit nonetheless. We meshed extremely well, and I now count a number of new friends in my repetoire. You run a terrific company Tilak, and I will not hesitate to recommend Nepal Trailblazers to anyone who asks. You have also whetted my appetite for travel in Nepal and, in 2 or 3 years, I plan to return and do the Annapurna circuit. Hopefully, Ganga will still be a guide and will be able to do the trip with me. Speaking of which....I wanted to thank Ganga, in particular, for being such a great guide and a great person. My friends and I went on the Everest Base Camp Trek Nov. 17th - Dec. 4th.

I would like you to know that throughout the entire trip our guide and porters were simply wonderful. Our guide Basu in particular was very kind, considerate, and consistently helpful.

Trekking through the Himalayas - Nepal countryside itself was truly an experience of a lifetime and the greatest honor for me was the friendship I grew to have with Basu.

I know that it's very unlikely that he and I will ever meet again however, it is my greatest hope that I will always remember and carry a little of his spirit with me where ever life takes me in the future.

Dear Tilak

I just wanted to write and thank you for organising such a wonderful trip for my son and I in Nepal.  We have had such a fabulous time and have seen such magnificent and beautiful scenery wherever we went.  We will never, ever forget coming to visit you.

Most importantly, thank you so much also for your choice of guide for us, you couldn't have chosen anyone better.  Thapa was just perfect and all the time we felt so safe with him and so well looked after.  We felt extremely privileged that he shared some of his immense knowledge of Nepal and Buddhism  with us and in such a thoughtful and understanding way.  Not only that, he was the best and kindest companion throughout our stay.  We enjoyed his company tremendously and have greatly missed him since our return.  No-one could have put more time and effort into making our stay as wonderful as it was.

Not to forget our incredible driver Ram who coped with the most difficult roads at times in such a superb way.  We always felt safe in the car with him and what a courteous and kind man he is.  His smile made the day light up and we very much appreciated all his hard work on our behalf as well as his comforting company throughout the trip.  He was just great and I thank him very much for all he did for us.

I am sorry that we couldn't say goodbye to you in person Tilak but thank you for your very kind welcome of us to your country.  It was good to meet you after all our months of correspondence.  Nick and I left Nepal full of the most wonderful memories and I will have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone I know who plans to visit your beautiful and vibrant country.

It was absolutely AMAZING, a magical experience!

Naryan is a wonderful, knowledgeable and trustworthy guide. During the whole trek, he made sure I was happy, comfortable, warm, well-fed and, most of all, safe. Anything I could want, he made sure it happened. He even took me to a bakery in Namche on my birthday and had a cake with candles and a birthday present for me. I'll never forget my birthday and the time I spent on the Everest trail, all thanks to Naryan!

Dear Tilak

We've been home now for a week, so I thought I should write on behalf of my colleagues to express our thanks for the Annapurna Trek. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we were most impressed by the friendly and organised manner in which it was run, not just by yourself, but by Bikesh and his porters, Krishna, Arjun and Bhim. After our first 'macho' day, Bikesh taught us all to walk uphill in the mountains and ensured we would have enough spare energy to enjoy the magnificent scenery and company.

The real measure of a a trekking organisation is, of course, how it responds to a major problem. The actions of of Bikesh and yourself when Richard Gaffney had his accident proved your total professionalism. Richard is still in plaster (he had to have further manipulative work done on his return) but expects to be fit again in three weeks or so. We all thank you for looking after him so well.

Needless to say, we will contact you if or when we return to Nepal, and will recommend you to anyone.

Hi Tilak,

I'm sorry that I haven't written sooner but I have been sick with bronchitis. I am doing better now. Our trip was wonderful thanks to you and our guide Ram, who could not have done a better job. He was waiting when we arrived at the Kathmandu airport, made sure that we got our gear, got us on a plane to Lukla when other trekkers had been waiting for several days, took us to the nicest teahouses when other groups could not get in, made sure we were safe and comfortable and got us to Base Camp and got me to Kala Patthar, and most of all, became our friend. Whatever he was paid, he deserves more. All of our group would be happy to be references for anyone who would like a recommendation for Nepal Trailblazer Trekking and especially for Ram as guide. The trek was hard but your country is beautiful and the people of the mountains were kind, friendly and helpful. We will always cherish the memories of our trip.

Just a note to thank you for organising such a wonderful trek through the Annapurnas to Muktinath. Thanks to Bhairam our guide, Yem and Krisna our porters. It was 27 years ago I first went to Nepal but I don't think I will wait that long again. Despite the many changes that have occured over the years, the peaks of the Himalayas will never cease to amaze. It was truly a life changing experience. The Nepali people are friendly and hospitable - we look forward to the chance to make it all happen again in the not too distant future. I just wanted to thank you and your wonderful staff for my incredible trip to Gokyo Ri, Chola Pass, Kalapathar and Everest Base Camp in March 2007. It was the best trip of my life. I especially want to thank my guide, Ram, and porter, Santos, who made the trip much easier than I could ever imagine. The scenery was incredible and will be forever be remembered by me. Your staff in Kathmandu was always there to make sure that everything was running smoothly. After talking to those on the trail who did not have guides or porters about their difficulties, I can not imagine even attemping the trip without the wonderful help that I had.

I also had a great time on the tour of Kathmandu, river rafting and Chitwan National Park. It was a great way to end my trip. The hotel in Kathmandu and in Chitwan were especially nice. I did not expect such luxury at such a great price.

I look forward to returning to Nepal in 2008 to do the Annapurna Circuit. I look forward to seeing everyone again.

Dear Tilak,

Thank you once again for making our trekking holiday to Gokyo and Kalapathar a holiday we will never forget. We found Nepal Trailblazers perfect in the organization of our holiday from the moment we arrived in Kathmandu until the day of our departure. We couldn't have asked for a more professional team of people during every step of our trip. Narayan was the perfect guide, gentlemen and friend and he really went out of his way to make sure we were well looked after at all times. We always felt perfectly safe in his hands and cannot thank him enough for his kindness, enthusiasm and good spirits during the entire trek. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was always making sure that we had no altitude problems and allowing us to hike at our own pace (even carrying our rucksacks if needed!). We met up with several other groups traveling with Nepal Trailblazers and they were all very happy and couldn't speak too highly of your agency. The evenings spent playing cards with Narayan and other trekkers we met along the way will also remain special in our memories. Our two porters were also absolute gems.

I am already looking forward to traveling to Nepal again in the near future and it will certainly be with Nepal Trailblazers and of course with Narayan.

Namaste Tilak and all at Nepal Trailblazer

I would just like to thankyou for the exellent organisation and flexability of my trekking, rafting and safari experience with yourselves.

My thanks go to Bhimsen ,my guide, and Ashok ,my sherpa, who without a doubt made my trip even more enjoyable. I enjoyed my time walking your Nepalese flat (up and down the hillside) and experiencing your culture. When I left for the trek I was concerned about my ability to achieve my goal of reaching Gokyo Ri. All my fears were unfounded and the one thing that prevented me from achieving my goal was the amount of snowfall at Namche Bazaar on our aclimatization day and the flight delay to Lukla. When it became clear that we would not reach Gokyo in time Bhimsen gave me the option to alter our plans and still achieve a dream of seeing Mount Everest up close. My sense of achievement is still as strong one month after my return and I would certainly recommend yourselves to others thinking of trekking in Nepal.

The accomodation was excellent in both Kathmandu and on the trek. I found also the guest house accommodation to be excellant at all times. I also very much appreciated the care I was given by Ashok and Bhimsen on the trek. I too feel like they have become my friends and will think of them often.

I am a mature lady who was travelling on my own and believe that the arrangements you made thoughout my trip was just first class.

We were a little nervous booking a trip over the internet but were pleasantly suprised by the professional staff that assisted us in every aspect of our trip. Our guide Basu and porter Pasang exceeded all of our expectations. They were constantly making sure that we were comfortable, not having any altitude issues, and teaching us the culutural aspects of Nepal. Basu was extremely flexible and allowed us to hike at our own pace (slow). When my wife had a cold during the trip he was very concerned about her health and provided some local medicine to make her feel better. Hi Tilak,

I have been home for about a week now. Everyday I think about the great time I had on the Classic Everest Trek. Before arriving in Katmandu I was a little concerned about whether I had taken on something that was maybe too much for me. Once I was picked up at the airport and met some of your staff, my mind was put at ease. From the first day I was treated with respect. All my questions were answered and all my needs were met.

Once on the trail my safety and health were of primary importance to my guide Bhim, and my porter Narayan. Every morning they asked how I was feeling, if I had a headache, and how did I sleep. They said, ' If you`re happy, we`re happy."

Bhim was a wealth of knowledge. Any questions I had about the people, animals, birds, plants, mountains, politics, or whatever, Bhim usually had an answer, and he was also eager to hear about my part of the world. Narayan`s greatest asset was his strength. He carried my pack up and down the hills everyday for 22 days with ease, sometimes carrying all my gear leaving me with nothing to do but enjoy the day.

I would not hesitate recommending these two employees to anyone wishing to have a fantastic holiday in Nepal.

Hi Tilak,

We would like to write a short note to say thanks to you for organising our trip, and to encourage other travellers to Nepal to use Nepal Trailblazer Trekking Companys. We did the Everest Base Camp trek in early October 2006, but only had 15 days due to work commitments - Mr Tilak set-out a personalised schedule for us which allowed us to take in all of the sights, reach Base Camp and get back safely. But that's not all - our flight was cancelled from Sydney, which lost us a day of our trip. At a time when we were pretty stressed, and fearing that our already tight time frame would jeopardise our trip, Mr Tilak was fantastic and re-organised everything (airport pickup, hotel in Kathmandu, rearranged flight to Lukla, change the trekking schedule and accomodation).

For those of you coming to Nepal for the first time, like me, you may be considering doing it all yourself. My experience with Nepal Trailblazer Trekking Companys over the last few weeks is that it is better to leave this to the experts. Trying to get flights to and from Lukla, understanding weather conditions, understanding your own health, forecasting your progress etc is all time and energy consuming. In my opinion, save your energy for trekking. These guys understand the local infrastructure and how to get things done.

We were guided by Bassu, a guy we now would consider a friend. His insights into the area, the landscape, the people were great - mind you he has been doing this for 20 years, so he is an expert guide. We were a bit jaded as we approached Base camp, but he had great advice on altitude sickness prevention and when one of us had a bad night (fever) - it was Bassu who took charge and we were able to proceed (if left to our own devices we would have lost a lot of time and perhaps even stopped). He's also a great card player, and we spent many, in fact most, nights playing (partners). He gave us flexibility in our trip - so we could stop when we were tired or hungry, or keep going if we weren't. We ate in the best places and there was always plenty. He set a good pace and because of this we were able to reach all of our goals in the time we had, and have a good chat along the way.

We also met other travellers (from Canada and Portugal) who were with Trailblazers, and had a ball. We tended to meet up at different times and stay in the same places usually. Their guides (Ram and Ari) and porters were also well organised, and so there was a real feeling of being part of a bigger group - even though there was only three of us. In such awesome country, it's good to have that kind of security of mind.

I had never been to Nepal before or indeed done any trekking. I can honestly say that this was the best holiday ever, and that it was made better by Nepal Trailblazer Trekking Companys. Their guides, porters, accomodation and food were great. We were also treated to two weeks of blue skies and sunshine, which made a beautiful place even better. The highlight of our trip was probably the Chukkung Valley, with magnificent views of Amadablam, Makalu, Island Peak and the roof of the world. Base Camp was a magnificent sense of achievement, but the trip as a whole will live in the memory for ever for the generosity and hospitality of our hosts.

Hi Tilak,

The trip to Everest Base Camp and Kalar Patar in June was fantastic. Thank you for your help and support. Ramesh, my guide was excellent, I couldn't have asked for more in a guide. He was helpful, caring, had excellent english and good knowledge of the area. The food and accomodation were all fantastic and the trip was well organised.

Nepal Trailblazer Trekking Company was overall very helpful and professional. It is nice to know that you have a company you can rely on in Kathmandu if anything should be needed.

Namaste Mr. Tilak,

I am Ron and was with the Cook party (from UK) that took the Gokyo Lake Trek from 12th April to 26th April 2006. The food and entertainment at the Priest House restaurant were both excellent and most enjoyable; I thank you for providing that opportunity.

However, that is not the only reason for my writing this letter: I wish to thank 'Nepal Trailblazer Trekking Company' as a whole for making our journey a really enjoyable, worry-free experience. In particular Ganga Thapa was the perfect guide and I would not hesitate to go on another journey with him in the future. In fact I would like to return to Nepal next year and use his services once more. His personality, extensive knowledge and professionalism all combine to make him a very likeable character. I further commend Ganga on his judgement and decision making during the trek.

Before I embarked upon this journey, the news reports about Nepal made it appear that it was not a place to go. Our entire party is thankful that we listened to you, Mr. Tilak, and put ourselves in your most competent care. If we had simply taken note of the news media reports, we would have missed this opportunity to visit Nepal. Yes, there is a military presence, but there are only a handful of 'checkpoints' in the mountains. They certainly did not interfere with any travellers and were very pleasant and friendly. The whole time I was in Nepal I felt very safe.

I recommend 'Nepal Trailblazer Trekking Company' to all those who wish to go trekking in Nepal.

Dear Tilak,

last Wednesday, 07 December I arrived back home in Germany. I hope, you are well and OK. Everything is fine here, only the weather is very cold withtemperatures between minus 2 and minus 10 at the moment. Sometimes I feel like in Muktinath at 06.00 in the morning.

I often remember the great holiday in Nepal. Particularly the trekking trip in the Annapurna region was phantastic and the absulute highlight of the holiday. It is for sure, that I come back for another trekking tour in the Himalayas or in Tibet next year or latest in two years. And of course, I will book again through your company.

Today I want to say thank you very much again for everything. It was all perfect organized without any delays and trouble. Chitwan was a great finish of our time in Nepal. The Wild Life Camp was wonderful and I enjoyed myself very much. The program was phantastic as well (Safari, Walking and Hiking, elephant riding, boat trip etc.).

Prabat was also a perfect guide and porter. He is such a nice, helpful and kind person. I would recommend and suggest him at any time. We also got good and closed friends during the trekking trip.

Of course, I will make advertising for Nepal and your company in Germany in order to push and to increase your business. I am still very happy and glad with your service. I will put some information of your agency on the website of my company and will distribute your stickers to sport shops in my city Stuttgart. I can not promise, but I will do my best to support you from Germany.

I also hope, we will stay in contact. Thank you very much for everyting, I will never forget this holiday in Nepal. Again, pictures are coming within the next two or three weeks.

Just wanted to let you no that i got home ok, and all is well here with my children, they were glad to have there mum home.
I had the most wonderful time in Tibet and Nepal, i loved the Everest Trek, and all the friends i made and the people i met.
I will come back, either Annapurna trek or Mera Peak, and i hope i will be able to do my trekking with your company.

Hi Tilak

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have joined back in office today.. and hence sending the mail.

My trek was beautiful. I had one of the best times in my life, during the trek. Cant thank Basu enough for making my trip so comfortable and enjoyable. Like I told Basu, I was sure that I would not be able to make it beyond 2-3 days.. as I did not consider myself to be very fit... but surprisingly I made it almost without any difficulty at all.. and in fact enjoyed my way right till the end. Also, the rafting trip was also an experience I will remember

All in all, I think u have a very professional organisation and one of the best guides in Basu. I hope to do more treks with you in the future.. maybe one in the coming year itself. Also, a lot of people out here after hearing from me, are quite keen to do such treks. I will put them in touch with you.
