Mera Peak Climbing


One of the major & the most popular trekking peak in Nepal is possibly the Mera peak located to the south of Everest. The highlights of the trek are the charm of climbing Mera Peak & scenery of the densely forested hill side. The route crossing Ama Lapcha (5,780m) gives you some of the most adventurous trekking offering the spectacular scenery through remote glaciated valleys & passes.

 
Itinerary:
Day 01 Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 02
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 03
Fly to Lukla and trek to Chu Thanga (3200m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 04
Trek to Tengkharka (3600m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 05
Cross Chetrawa La Pass (5200m.) and trek down to CHETRAWA (4700m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 06
Trek to Kothe (3000m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 07
Trek to Khare (5035m).Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 08
Rest day. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 09
Mera High camp (5700m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 10
Summit Mera peak and back to Mera La Base Camp (5400m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Trek to Rato odar (4800m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 12
Seto Pokhari (5100m.). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 13
Ama Lapcha Base Camp (5600m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 14
Ama Lapcha Cross (5845m) and trek to Chhukung. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.
Day 15
Trek to Tyangboche monastery. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS BY OUR CUSTOMERS

* What type of shape do I need to be in?
This trek is suitable for average people who are moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required. To get condition for the trek, some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on journey. Person suffering from pre-existing diseases must seek medical advice before considering the trek. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.

* Do we need any mountaineering experience?
No mountaineering experience is required as long as you're in your sound physical shape & have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek.

* Is there any dangers that occur on these trips (robbery, kidnappings, etc...) due to Maoist uprising or is it a safe experience?
Nepal is absolutely safe country to travel. We do take every precaution to ensure the comfort and safety of the trekkers. In regards to political stress, everything has returned to normalcy lately after government - Maoist truce and Maoist party recently joint political mainstream after historical peace accord signed by both parties.
