Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek

Traveling, in fact is a passion that every human being adores to do and yearns something extra to see and experience in life. Ama Dablam base camp is definitely one of the best site to be considered to spend your holiday. This mind - boggling trip takes place after a scenic flight to Lukla (2804meters) from where we embark our journey through legendary sherpa inhabitants of Namche Bazzar (3535m). The most holy as well as popular monastery - Thyangboche monastery is another highlight of this trek. Our main destination of the trek would be the flanks of Ama Dablam Base camp (4650m) - the ultimate destination where awe - inspiring mountains' view is truly prize to see - travel around the wonderland!

Undoubtedly, the ancient artistic monastery, peculiar and traditional sherpa lifestyle, their elderly culture will surely wonder one and all. For instance a village of Khumjung is one of the fine sherpa villages in Everest region which offers absolute benefit to observe prominent Himalayan view plus to experience local cultural richness. This soul-cleansing site of Everest gives most blissful experience in lifetime - know Himalaya how does it strike you!

 
Day to day Itinerary:
Day 01 Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 02 Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 03
Today early in the morning, we drive about 15 minutes to Tribhuwan International Airport. After 30 minutes scenic flight to Lukla (2804 mtrs.), we begin our trek to Phakding (2610 mtrs.) - 3 hours easy walking. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 04
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3535 mtrs.). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 05
Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar
This is a day for an acclimatization. We have a fine walk around the valley to adjust with thin air. Namche Bazaar is known as the gateway of the Everest. We will take you to a museum too on the same day. There you can see the traditional custom of Sherpa peoples. Besides, a fine view of the Everest and other mountains can be overviewed from this place. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 06
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3850m).
By reaching Tengboche, we visit a monastery known as Tengboche monastery. Then you will be taken to observe the prayer ceremony whether in the evening or morning. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 07
Tengboche to Dingboche (4350 mtrs.). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 08
Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4650m), and trek back to Pangboche (3860m)..
Day 09
Trek to Khumjung Village (3790m). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 10
Trek to Phakding (2610 mtrs.). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 11
Trek to Lukla. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 12
Morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 13 Leisure day in Kathmandu (it's also spare day incase of bad weather in Lukla). Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 14 Transfer to Airport for your home departure. Farewell !!

  • Nepal Tourist Visa fee US$ 25 or equivalent foreign currency with multiple entry for 15 days, US$ 40 or equivalent foreign currency with multiple entry for 30 days. You may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Kathmandu.
  • Disembarkation Airport Tax in Nepal - approx. US$ 24.
  • Items of a personal nature
  • Any kind of alcoholic drinks, hot water, hot shower, cold drinks, laundry, phone call, internet.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS BY OUR CUSTOMERS

* What type of shape do I need to be in?
This trek is suitable for average people who are moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required. To get condition for the trek, some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on journey. Person suffering from pre-existing diseases must seek medical advice before considering the trek. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.

* Do we need any mountaineering experience?
No mountaineering experience is required as long as you're in your sound physical shape & have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek.

* Is there any dangers that occur on these trips (robbery, kidnappings, etc...) due to Maoist uprising or is it a safe experience?
Nepal is absolutely safe country to travel. We do take every precaution to ensure the comfort and safety of the trekkers. In regards to political stress, everything has returned to normalcy lately after government - Maoist truce and Maoist party recently joint political mainstream after historical peace accord signed by both parties.
